100 Years From Now – Will Hewes

Dana @ 9:19 PM | Filed under: General

Name:

Will Hewes

Age:

26 years old

Where are you from:

Born and raised in NYC

Where do you live:

Manhattan

Occupation:

For now I guess you could say my field is education. I spent the last year teaching English as a second language in Thailand. Currently I am working as a tutor in Brooklyn, and volunteering at this great non-for profit organization called Housing Works that works to help New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS.

100 years from now What do you want to be remembered for:

I think my time as a teacher showed me the wonder of passing something on to a new generation. If I could be remembered for anything in 100 years from now I am not sure exactly what that would be. But I can say I hope there will be people walking the Earth whose lives have been improved in some way because of me.

100 Years from now what do you want to be remembered for:

I don’t think I want to be remembered for anything, honestly.  I had a guy that helped me go to college.  He helped 35,000 other students as well and for his memorial, when he died, everybody sent out a copy of a book that they wrote and published.  Some were in science.  Some were in law.  Some were in public relations or biology or medicine…The books formed a pyramid as a memorial.  I would love to have one of those for me one of these days…
