Occupation

100 years from now what do you want to be remembered for:

You know, less about my story necessarily.  We’ve had the opportunity to capture some really amazing stories.  We are actually wedding videographers.  We’ve been doing it for several years now, and we are just always amazed by the intimate moments that people are willing to share with us.  It’s an amazing honor that they allow us into their lives to capture one of the most important moments of their lives.  The thing that really inspired us to do what we do is realizing that I had no idea how my grandparents met.  I love my grandparents and I consider myself very close to them and I have no idea how they met and they are gone now.  And, knowing that anyone on the street probably has no idea how their grandparents met and that’s not okay.  For us to be able to capture that for future grandkids to know how their grandparents met and how they were in their most intimate moment is probably the most important thing.  so it’s less about people remembering my story and more about me enabling future generations to see what really mattered to someone in those moments when they together as a couple.

Where are you from:

California

Occupation:

A videographer.  We do a lot of documentaries. We do weddings.  All sorts of productions.

100 Years from now what do you want to be remembered for:

I want to be remembered for having people remember their moments.  It’s funny, we do a lot of commercial work.  We do a lot of things but the thing that we get the most gratification from is weddings.  The reason why is because there is only one generation where people don’t remember how they met.  I mean, if you ask somebody on the street how their grandparents met they have no idea.  They have no idea where they came from and so for us to be able document those and to be able to tell stories like that, to me that’s worthwhile.  I wish that I would have known how my grandparents met and how they came to America and all those things.  So, hopefully we can capture those moments.

100 years From Now – John Tintori

Dana @ 9:10 PM | Filed under: General

Name:

John Tintori

Age:

59 years old

Where are you from:

Detroit, Michigan

Occupation:

Professor at New York University

100 Years from now what do you want to be remembered for:

Okay, part of it is because I am a teacher:  I heard a quote from William Burroughs a long time ago that the object of a life…I think he said “Any man not working to make himself obsolete isn’t worth his own salt” and I’ve always believed in that.  And so, for me, everything I do is about trying to enable the next generation and the next group of people to do something better than me and forget about me.  So I would rather not be remembered a hundred years from now but I would have liked to have just been a cog in the machine.
